CLIMB Mid-Term Meeting
The CLIMB Doctoral Network held its mid-term meeting at the University of Strasbourg on 20 March 2026, marking an important milestone one year after the start of the action.
The meeting brought together all 12 doctoral candidates (DCs), one representative from each beneficiary organisation, and the project officer from the European Research Executive Agency (REA). Associated partners also attended remotely.
This was the first occasion on which all beneficiaries and DCs met in person, representing a key moment for strengthening the network and consolidating collaboration across institutions.
The agenda covered the main aspects of project implementation, including:
a coordinator’s report on the overall progress of the action
a presentation by the REA project officer
short presentations by all DCs (4 minutes with slides), providing a concise overview of their research progress
restricted sessions dedicated to internal discussion
a final feedback session from the REA project officer to the beneficiaries
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review progress, align expectations, and identify priorities for the next phases of the project. It also reinforced interaction between DCs and beneficiaries, contributing to the effective implementation of the CLIMB training and research programme.
